The origins
The firm has been in Farnborough since 1938 when Denis Blunden first affixed his name plate as a solicitor to the wall outside ‘The Mount’ in Victoria Road Farnborough.
However, the roots of this firm go back to 1910 when William Davies opened his first office in Woking and subsequently joined Denis Blunden in Farnborough in 1946. The firm then became Davies & Blunden.

However, the roots of this firm go back to 1910 when William Davies opened his first office in Woking and subsequently joined Denis Blunden in Farnborough in 1946. The firm then became Davies & Blunden.
West Farnborough was largely agricultural land and Denis Blunden’s father farmed the area now known as the West Heath estate. His name is commemorated in the naming of Blunden Road and Blunden Hall.
D & B adds the "E"Michael Evans served his articles at Davies & Blunden, rejoined the firm in 1960 following the completion of his national service and became a partner in 1962 when the firm’s name was changed to Davies Blunden & Evans. The first office of the practice was above Boots on the corner of Camp Road and Lynchford Road and in 1952 it moved to 59 Lynchford Road. In 1969 an office was opened in Yateley to serve a growing population.
In 1963 the present office in Victoria Road was established and the Lynchford Road office closed in 1985. The firm has expanded considerably over the last half century and now employs a staff of over twenty five persons including seven solicitors.
